On orders of Controlling authority / Governor of N.W.F.P BISE Mardan Was established in a rented building on 12 November 2001 with Chairman and a skeleton staff of 14 clerks and 4 class IV employees
Purchase of land for offices complex of BISE Mardan:
With non availability of vacant / unused Govt. buildings and Govt. owned land BISE Mardan was forced to acquire land of 50 Kanals at Sheikh Maltoon town.
Purchase of Elementary College Sharif abad Mardan:-

On the occasion of ground breaking ceremony of BISE offices complex at sheikh maltoon town Mardan the district administration informed the Governor N.W.F.P about the unsuitability of opening a second girls college in the building of elementary college at sharif abad due to peculiar difficulties and location of the area.
The Honorable Governor N.W.F.P very graciously permitted BISE Mardan to open its offices in Elementary college building in Exchange of the land acquired for Board offices complex at sheikh maltoon town for the construction of proposed girls college.
BISE Mardan has conducted Inter annual 2002 as its first Exam.
The Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (BISE) Mardan established under BISE ACT 1975 is an autonomous body of the Ministry of Education. It is empowered with administrative and financial authority to organize, regulate, develop and control Intermediate and Secondary Education in general and conduct examinations in the institutions affiliated with it.
